Cross II

CROSS II is a remake of my second game, delving into the vague side story of Rosemary from the original game.

In this remade version I've reworked how the original game was set up and played. It's still an RPG game, but the focus is now on items dropped by enemies that allow access to the game's spells, as well as better scaling than the original, and a shorter playtime.

The story contains some of the original ideas I had planned in the original game, but it's also more-or-less a better told story without all the edgy stuff. The music is also FAR better than anything I've ever made so far, and the art is also some of my best. 

Not at all similar to the original, instead now you follow the vaguely introduced "God" of the new world, from before he became a god. The idea of this game was to make a very short and simple linear adventure using a lot of scrapped ideas from my past projects, as well as adding animated skill cutscenes for special moves.

The story is nothing like the original, but many familiar faces are shown. The 3rd boss of the original game, Drend Newguard, has a bigger role to play as well as Rosemary, the original Troy, Liam (Oldworld) from the end of "Cross", and two new characters, Thyme (based off of Michael), and Zephyr (based off of my favorite character, Zack Fair).

The goal is the same as the original, climb a tower to fight the king of the oddities, Syriff. Nothing else.

I made this game as a sort of demo to test something out that I want to try for the next game, but also as another chance to make up for my mistake of a second game. 

Currently the game is tested, but I'm likely gonna keep working on it, so I'm just releasing it early since I don't think my changes are gonna matter all too much.
